December 23rd

Today was our last day of work before Christmas, and the last day one of us had to take off to stay home with Charlotte.  It has been a fun couple of weeks with her thats for sure!  Winter weather is here again.  There is one heck of a storm already hitting us and only bound to get worse before the weekend.

I talked to my Dad tonight and the Skudler Christmas has officially been postponed.  Omaha is supposed to get it far worse than us so we will be getting together the weekend of New Years instead.  I am glad that we will all be getting together soon, but I do not remember a Christmas Day that wasn't spent at my grandparents house.  It is something I would like to continue for as long as possible. 

Tonight we headed to a Christmas party that one of my coworkers throws every year.  We had a really good time and it was so nice to do something different during the Christmas season.  We all had a good time and even Charlotte did great (even though there were a ton of people which often intimidates her).  When we got back we were both tuckered out as you can see.

Visit With Santa

Charlotte visited Santa on Saturday (12/19) while we finished Christmas shopping.  It pretty much went as expected.  The pictures expain it all!

Biter Biscuit

Charlotte enjoyed her first biter biscuit on Wednesday (12/16).  To say she made a mess is an understatement although I think this will be the first of many messes to come!

Jayke's Gingerbread House

While running to the grocery store one evening Jayke fell so in love with this gingerbread house kit.  I figured it would be a lot of fun for us to do and so we picked it up.  I was really impressed at how well Jayke did.  He looked at the box some, I did the icing, but all the candie's were placed by him.  Way to go bud!

Jayke's Visit

Here are a few pictures from Jayke's visit.  He was here from Sunday until Wednesday and then headed home.  We really enjoyed getting to spend some time with him although he is definitely still adjusting to sharing his time with us with his cousin.

Davis Christmas

Jim was sick this past Friday and Saturday (probably from freezing his patootie off clearing snow) and so we weren't able to make it to the Davis Family Christmas up at Chad and Annette's.  Jim stayed home on Saturday while Charlotte and I headed to church.  Sunday he was feeling better so after we picked up Jayke, Barb stopped by with a few gifts for Charlotte from the Davis Clan.
