Charlotte's Friend, Boomer

This poor cat already puts up with a lot from this girl, mostly because he loves being around her as much as she loves "playing" with him. I do have to say, they are pretty good buds though.

30 Weeks!!

This was taken Sunday, November 15th.

Holy Blow Out!

I am sure none of you want to see this but I am sharing it any way. Charlotte had the biggest blow out EVER on Sunday. Up her back, down her arm, to her neck...just gross. The sleeper went into the garbage...the smell wasn't worth it.

Highchair

On our way home from Minneapolis we had to stop and feed the girl and get her ready for bed. When it was cereal time we popped her into a highchair at the McDonalds and since we have only been using the bumbo at home that made it her first time in a highchair. Ronald looks proud.

Minnesota Here We Come!

Charlotte's babysitter took a vacation day on Friday, November 13th so we decided to both take the day off and head out of town for some quality family time without having to think about the other things we could/should be doing. After contemplating a few options we decided to head to Minneapolis and get a jump on our Christmas shopping. We took the money from the wedding I shot last weekend, packed the car, and headed north!

We stopped a few times on the way up. Our main stop was at an outlet mall about 40 minutes outside of the cities. We got some AWESOME deals!! From there we made our way into town. We pricelined a super cheap room and were put at the Sheraton in Bloomington. We arrived and checked in. When we got to our room with our gigantic pile of Charlotte's stuff we knew there was no way this room was going to work. It was just TOO small. Jim went and checked on upgrades and got us a bigger room with some play space for the girl.

We spent the evening playing and Charlotte got to swim for the first time. She absolutely LOVED it! We weren't surprised given how much she loves her bath. It was so awesome to watch her swim and play with us.
She was having so much fun she definitely did not want to get out of the pool. I think baby swim may be in our future!
Saturday morning we hung out. We ate breakfast in and played on the floor with all her toys. As you can see, they are EVERYWHERE. We let her take her morning nap at the hotel before we headed out for the day. When you get sad that your baby is growing too fast just put them in a king size bed, it makes them look little again!
When we made it out for the day our first stop was the General Store. Jim and I were there in 2005 and it was a very neat place so we decided to head there again. It was still chock full of all kinds of neat things. We got a couple of little gifts and then headed on our way.
Our main stop of the day was The Mall of America. After an HOUR of trying to navigate the parking garage we were finally able to park and head in. The mall was crazy but good. We got a little bit of shopping done and had a good time. Charlotte was a super rock star. She did so great the entire trip but especially at the mall. We tried to go see Santa as he had just arrived the night before, but we were too late and he was closing up shop. We did however finish the trip with this absolutely adorable family picture outside Santa's workshop. It wasn't too long later that we were all ready to go. Home here we come!

Smiley Girl

Tuesday night Charlotte was just SO full of smiles. From the time we got home....to playing on the floor...and sitting up to play...and even when she was ready for bed!Her only somber moment was when Dad was feeding her and got it all over her face...gee thanks Dad!!

28 Week Old Family

I told you she was loving the snorty face! We all joined in for fun!! 28 weeks old...taken November 1st!

Solids

Charlotte had her first solids Sunday (Nov. 1st). We had the green light for baby food but wanted to wait until she finished her antibiotic since she would only eat it when we mixed it in cereal. Her last day for the amoxicillin was Saturday so when her schedule got slightly off on Sunday with day light savings time we started the baby food.

We decided to start with green beans. Everything we looked in to and what our doctor said was to start with green vegetables, then orange vegetables, then fruits. She really liked them at first. Here is her first bite! She started to look a little more unsure as we went along. Check out this face! This girl cracks me up. She never stopped taking bites but her faces were absolutely hilarious! From this face you would assume she didn't like them! Not true! She actually did enjoy them. We had them for a couple of days and she was very eager to eat them and this face did not show up again! And actually, she had peas last night and tonight and did great with those too!

Pumpkin Carving

Halloween 2009

Happy Halloween! Saturday morning, Halloween day, we headed to Omaha so Charlotte could trick or treat again and so we could celebrate my Dad's birthday (he's a Halloween baby). We carved pumpkins early in the day while Jim helped my Mom and brother get her new tv mounted on the wall.

Later we got ready to head out trick-or-treating. We got Charlotte ready and the first stop was my Dad. We were already there, but I still had us go out and ring the bell and the whole bit. Here is our little lamb with her dad and her papa.
Next we headed over to my grandparents house. Here we are getting read to come to the door. Charlotte and I with her great-grandparents!Here we are down the street from my mom's house...our next stop!Gramma and her little lamb...and me too!Charlotte has a new snorty face she really likes to do. She was really getting into it here!Flying high on the porch. She was definately having fun!!She loved holding her own bucket. This picture was taken about 2o seconds before it dropped and broke...oops!Hanging with Dad.We waited at my Mom's because Jayke was on his way over. He was dressed as the transformer bumble bee. I could barely recognize him but Charlotte knew right away and grabbed for him. She LOVES Jayke! Before we left Jayke asked if he could give Charlotte a hug. Of course, when he hugged her she grabbed his face mask and licked him! We all got a good laugh as Jayke exclaimed "Hey! She licked my face!"Jesse and Cheryl were at her parent's for dinner so we surprised them by stopping by. We were only there a few minutes before Charlotte decided she was hungry so we headed back to stay at my brother's place. Here he is with Charlotte (and her snorty face again) before getting ready to eat.We had a great Halloween and headed home the next day after a quick photoshoot with an old family friend who is expecting.
