Cute as a Button

Ok, I know it may be ridiculous to have an entire post about the look of Charlotte;s party but I made most of the decorations myself and was super pleased with how everything turned out.  I wish I would have gotten a few more picture of stuff but I know that some others there did so I will just have to steal their pics when I get a chance!

I made a bunch of button flowers and they were in pink, blue, and green pots on the tables.

We also had these centerpieces that I doctored up by gluing buttons on the middle of the flowers.

The cake was bright and colorful with buttons on it.  I doctored up the candle and covered the butterfly with buttons.

Every table had different color table cloths and we served lots of colorful sweets.

I made a banner out of brightly colored papers and decorative papers printed with glittered buttons, polka dots, and stripes.

My Mom made Charlotte a plate for her cake.

And I decorated her high chair with more buttons and cuteness.

The banner above her high chair said "one & cute as a button".

Here is the cake table and banner before the cake arrived.

I dipped strawberry marshmallows in chocolate and sprinkles for fun.

There were also balloons all over the floor. A play tent and punch balls/balloons for the kids. Beach balls that said "look who's one". Big buttons in different shapes and colors. Basically, tons of fun!

You can't see it very good in this picture, but on the back wall was a banner that had eash of our Sunday pictures on it.  You can see it better next to the gift table.

Every Sunday we have taken a family photo since she was born and the day of her birthday party made our 52nd week family photo.  Happy 52 weeks to us!!!
